All black perfection from the runways…

You know I love all black outfits. I own so many all black monotone black leggings, black leather leggings, tank tops, jackets, shirts and skirts I’ve totally lost count – I just throw away the old ones when they fade and aren’t “proper” black anymore. If you needed any proof at all about how awesomely right I am in my undying love for black fashion – black is always the new black – and don’t let anyone ever tell you otherwise…voila – let the runways speak to you:

anne demeulmeester all black FW2012

Ann Demeulemeester – a design who is often not paid enough attention if you ask me. This woman is a genius of Belgian fashion design. One of the finest to graduate from the Royal Academy of Fine Art Antwerp she brings to life in absolute grace the minimalism and clear, clean, crisp design that the Belgian school of design instills into it’s geniuses with such perfection. Ann is a one of the fabulous “Antwerp Six” who bring to life avantgarde and minimal design like no one else can. Look at what she has created for AW 2012 above – stunning masterpiece of all black perfection.

hermes black skirt leather 2012

Hermes oh Hermes. To me Hermes is the one single pure and true luxury brand in the world. Tell me anything you like about Chanel and Dior and Burberry and the rest but no one comes even close to Hermes. Hermes own it and work luxury like no one else in the world. This is luxury. Hermes is luxury. This black pleated leather skirt with the sexy see-through is just pure sex in such a luxurious way….GAH!

lanvin black dress catwalk 2012

Alber Elbaz – the genius behind the revival of Lanvin. The man seems to be able to churn out one mindblowing dress after the other when you think he couldn’t possibly have any more ideas up his sleeve – he always does. Less known to the world is that this Morrocon-Israeli designer graduated from the Shenkar school of design and also served the obligatory years in the Israeli military before becoming the world famous creative genius behind Lanvin that he is today. How stunning is this dress with this gorgeous all black tiger head belt?

Ermanno Scervino all black 2012 runway

Ermanno Scervino – “who?” I hear you ask. This Florentine designer duo (well a designer and an entrepreneur) launched their brand back in 1997 and are apparently churning out a business of €88M a year through their multiple lines including kids, sportswear, beachwear and underwear. Think a bit Armani before it went to shit maybe? Kind of along those lines…I do love what they’ve done above!

Roberto Cavalli, Ready to Wear, Spring Summer, 2012, London

Last but not least – an iconic designer whose style is the polar opposite to Ann Demeulemeester – the one and only Roberto Cavalli. Fierce, always oozing sex…this gorgeous black lace maxi dress from his SS 2012 collection is just simply gorgeous – I need it in my life. Think south of France, think Sardinia…think gold earrings and arm party and a lovely tan shining in sun oil…GAH (again)!
