H&M goes Lanvin for November 2010

h&m lanvin collaboration 2010

H&M started doing their most famous designer collaborations in 2004 when they did the first one with the one and only Kaiser that is Karl Lagerfeld.

Since then they’ve rolled out designer collaborations at least once a year and sometimes twice (the one in November always guaranteed for those pre-Christmas specials)…

Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, Madonna, Matthew Williamson, Kylie Minogue, Roberto Cavalli, Commes des Garcons and Jimmy Choo – you name them, they’ve already designed for H&M – next in line for the H&M november 2010 partnership is the one and only LANVIN – Margareta Van Den Bosch sure seems to know how to reel them all in. Kudos to her!

The collection of both womenswear and menswear will go on sale on November 23 in around 200 H&M stores worldwide . The collection of both will be revealed to the world on November 2, confirmed Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.

“I have said in the past that I would never do a mass-market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public” said Alber Elbaz, artistic director of Lanvin.

Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M said “We are thrilled about Lanvin’s collection for H&M, it is such an exciting moment. Lanvin will bring to H&M a luxurious French tradition that is also modern and playful. It is very much a Lanvin collection, using their cut and tailoring, with lots of focus on form and details for both women and men. The launch in November is go ing to be full of wonderful surprises.”

How about the Jimmy Choo Uggs?

    Very blah me thinks…

Over-priced slippers… although me is a big fan of Uggs, making them Choos is just not cool
